Australian National Hypnotherapy Register
“The Official National Hypnotherapy Register”
The Australian National Hypnotherapy Register (ANHR) is the official National Hypnotherapy Register of the Council of Clinical Hypnotherapists Australia, the peak body of hypnotherapy associations in Australia. Each of the member associations complies with a strict Code of Conduct and complies with the requirements of the Private Health Insurance (Accreditation) Rules 2008
Members of the Australian National Hypnotherapy Register are trained Clinical Hypnotherapists who have completed the full membership requirements of an approved professional association. As such they have completed extensive education in hypnotherapy and associated disciplines and comply with a strict Code of Conduct and continuing professional education requirements.
The ANHR is the only National Hypnotherapy Register that has been endorsed by Australian hypnotherapy associations, societies and training organisations whose aim is to work together to ensure the well being of its clients and to further the profession of hypnotherapy.
Council of Clinical Hypnotherapists
“The Voice of Professional Hypnotherapy”
The Council of Clinical Hypnotherapists (CCH) is the only Australian national peak professional body which represents professional clinical hypnotherapists via its member clinical hypnotherapy associations. The CCH is not an association, but a confluence of the professional clinical hypnotherapy associations, and is the voice of hypnotherapy to government and other stakeholders, including the traditional medicine and health insurance industries.
The vision and purpose of the Council are articulated in its Mission Statement and its Constitution and Code of Ethics express the values and standards by which all member hypnotherapy associations are bound.
The CCH is managed by an Executive Council of experienced practitioners and educators in the field of Clinical Hypnotherapy, with the primary purpose of maintaining professional levels of competence and ethical practice within the profession of Clinical Hypnotherapy.
The CCH is the only national peak body that has been endorsed by Australian hypnotherapy associations, societies and training organisations whose aim is to work together to ensure the well being of its clients and to further the profession of hypnotherapy.
The ACHA is a Member Organisationof the Council of Clinical Hypnotherapists, the national peak body for Australian clinical hypnotherapy and supports and endorses the work of the CCH as it endeavours to unite, promote and represent the profession of clinical hypnotherapy in Australia.
ACHA Complaints Procedure
If you are concerned about the service that has been provided by a clinical hypnotherapist, to you or your next of kin, please talk to the practitioner immediately. In most cases, the practitioner will try to resolve the issue. If you are not satisfied with the practitioner’s response, please contact the practitioner’s professional association for a confidential discussion. The ACHA may become involved in a complaints procedure under the following conditions: (1) at the request of a Member of the ACHA and (2) at the request of a member of the public and/or other relevant party.
